Mama J's Garlic Toast
This is a recipe of my mother's that I have been making for years. The paprika sprinkled with the cheese gives this bread a beautiful color and delicious flavor. For one of the best garlic bread recipes ever try this Mama J's Garlic Toast.

- 1 garlic cloves
- 1/2 cup (about 1 stick) butter, melted
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

I make garlic bread all the time, but have never thought to use paprika! I have some really nice smoked paprika that would be perfect to use! The red colour would look really appealing especially with the parsley. Garlic bread is a great addition to a pasta dinner or any Italian meal really. I often serve it as a side with soup or a light salad for a delicious and nutritious lunch. Yum!

We buy loaves of garlic bread all the time, but this looks much better. Paprika will give it some added color and parmesan and parsley will give it more flavor. I'm with you, Edmund K., adding mozzarella will make it better-almost a meal!! I think I'll serve it with spaghetti this week.

This looks great! I like the addition of the paprika. Do you use regular paprika or one of the stronger Hungarian blends? I have some smoked paprika that might add some interesting notes. I'd also sprinkle some mozzarella cheese over the bread before baking. I've always believed you can never have too much cheese.
